Full Moon in Virgo, 2024

The upcoming Full Snow/Hunger Moon in Virgo, is set for Saturday, February 24, 2024, at 6:30 am CST.

Full Moons always carry a sense of culmination, signaling the end of a cycle, a moment of crisis, or the completion of something.

This Full Moon traditionally occurs in the height of winter when the Northern Hemisphere is packed in snow and food can be difficult to find.

This particular Full Moon occurs a day prior to the Moon reaching apogee, its farthest distance from Earth. It may look smaller than other moons we'll see this year and is often referred to as a Mini Moon. The Mini Moon in Virgo is fitting for this Sign, as Virgo doesn’t like to call attention to itself.

Virgo is the mutable (adaptable) Earth sign, and is renowned for its attention to detail, love for nature, and practicality. Often hailed as the Scientist of the Zodiac, Virgo tends to work diligently behind the scenes without seeking the spotlight.

Astrologically, this Full Moon finds itself in an opposing (challenging) aspect to Saturn (responsibility), in Pisces (sensitivity). This alignment may present challenges in meeting our obligations. This Moon also forms a trine (easy) aspect to Jupiter (optimism), in Taurus (sensual pleasure). Creating a release for all that angst.

Now is an opportune moment to reassess our priorities and take tangible steps towards productivity. Additionally, nurturing our bodies and connecting with nature can harness the energy of this Full Moon to help us discern what truly matters.

With less than four weeks till the Spring Equinox, it's a great time to decide What are You Preparing For?
